Sydney’s Enticing Beaches

There is something so unique about being able to swim at a clean, white, sandy beach in perfect weather, in a city of over four million people, for free! Whilst most people have heard of the iconic Bondi Beach, there is a giddy choice of spots at which to dip your toes or catch some rays across Sydney’s foreshore.

Try Shelley Beach, just a short stroll from Manly, for some great snorkelling; Balmoral Beach, where your swim can be accompanied by a soy latte or char-grilled barramundi from one of the tantalising restaurants overlooking the sand; or further along, at Chinaman’s Beach, for a secluded, calm dip.

Combining a bushwalk with a swim is also a special Sydney experience – strolling from Spit Bridge to Manly or Coogee to Bondi, taking in the glorious views from Tamarama or Bronte beaches, feels like you are miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet a short meander to the inviting blueness of the Pacific Ocean.
