07 Nov Steph and Bobby’s Sunshine Beach wedding

The sun shone and the ocean glistened, as Steph and Bobby tied the knot during their perfect Sunshine Beach wedding ceremony! It couldn’t have been more sublime on this balmy winter’s day, overlooking this stunning stretch of beach in Queensland. Who ever said a beach wedding ceremony couldn’t work during the cooler months? In fact, in Queensland, it is the ideal time to head outdoors and lap up the endless sunshine for a winter wedding!

What I loved most about this Sunshine Beach wedding ceremony

Well, I really can’t go past the location as making this particular union rather special!

But, apart from the divine location, I also loved:

• Steph and Bobby’s relaxed vibe – they were determined to keep it casual and fun – for them and their guests!
• Steph’s stunning dress – say no more…
• Bobby and the groomsmen dressed in white, beige and navy complemented by the bridesmaids in breezy blush – so very beachy!

Some unique wedding ceremony touches

The petal-strewn ‘aisle’ was particularly fetching, as were the timber parasols for guests – it was VERY sunny after all!

Despite their nerves (who isn’t nervous on their wedding day?), Steph and Bobby agreed to write and recite personal vows – I love it when couples express their deepest love for each other in front of their family and friends. If you can’t do that on your wedding day, when can you, hey?

What made the wedding ceremony extra personal

Bobby proposed to Steph with her grandmother’s diamond so there was a lovely family connection to the entire ceremony from the outset. I was asked to be their celebrant as I am a good friend of Steph’s mother Sharon so that always makes things extra personal. Sunshine Beach and Noosa also have a special place in both Steph and Bobby’s lives – it was where Steph grew up, where they met and the location of the diamond, champagne (and prawn sandwiches) proposal!
