Other highlights of the festival include the Slow Food Noosa Safari, on Thursday 19 May, which takes guests on a paddock to plate experience in the gorgeous Noosa Hinterland, meeting and chatting with local farmers and producers. The day starts with fresh strawberry tasting and fresh jam scones at Cooloola Berries, followed by a three-course bush tucker lunch with matched wines in Kin Kin. A visit to Stephanie Alexander’s School Kitchen Garden and afternoon tea at Eumundi round out a perfect day!
If you know a friend who has a spare ticket to the sold out Makepeace Island Seafood Experience on Friday 20 May, then now may be the time to be extra nice! Featuring a tour of Sir Richard Branson’s luxurious private island and home followed by a seafood lunch designed by David Pugh, Massimo Mele and Peter Kuruvita, the day includes travelling in style, aboard the Catalina, and matched Pizzini wines.
There are plenty of other events for which tickets are still available, such as the Peppers Noosa Queensland Produce on Show on Friday 20 May, Tony Percuoco at Noosa Waterfront and the El Chiringuito Fiesta de Espana featuring Rococo Noosa and Frank Camorra from MoVida, in a true Spanish beach fiesta, both on Saturday 21 May. On Sunday 22 May you can kick off your day with the Surfers Versus Chefs Breakfast and round out the weekend with cooking demos at Noosa Farmers’ Markets and an end of festival Havana Nights Food and Wine Party at Miss Moneypenny’s, both of which are free!
